Fitnah in Nahj-al-Balaghah; Motivations and how to deal with it

Fitnah (intrigue) is one of the main issues in Nahj-al-Balagheh which was present during the Imamate of Imam Ali (AS) and it is one of the pests of Islamic Society. The motivations of Fitnah are Sensualize, seeking the worldly matters by elites, rich integration, disunity and superiority. The ways to deal Fitnah are to act based on piety, adhere to the Qur’an, following the household of Prophet (Ahl-al-Bait) and obedience to divine leadership of Allah, recognition Fitnah centers and exposing their goals, perseverance and determination in dealing deflecting trends, strengthening political insight relied upon the principles and criteria, preserving unity and integrity, adherence to the law and awareness. The author of this paper tries to examine this issue from the perspective of Imam Ali (AS).
