Abstract:
Conceptual Analyze of [la Ikraha fi al-Din] and theory of “Freedom of Belief and Responsibility” The verse 256 of Surah baqara manifested “non-compulsion in the religion”, which is disputed among exegetes. This research examines the verse based on Appearance (zuhoor), environment of the reveal, Companions and Followers using and understanding. Current article raises the theory “freedom of belief and responsibility” after philology, surveying of Occasions of Revelation (asbab al- nuzool) and accounts. Every compulsion for imposing of religious believes is rejected and prohibited by [la Ikraha fi al-Din], because there is a clear rational distinction between Rectitude (rushd) and Falshood (qay) and incompatibility among Compulsion, Trying and Freedom. Therefore, the mentioned verse designates to freedom of thought and belief, but does not permit to escape from the responsibility, so that human is pledged to accept all responsibilities of thought and belief freedom.
