Preparing Domestic Water Quality Index

Domestic Water Quality Index besteads users to achieve a simple concept of water quality by collecting and summarizing a lot of Data related to Different potable water quality parameters and changing them to a specified number.
At first, for preparing this Index, many different water parameters due to the hygienic effects, aesthetics, abundance, ability to be a marker, taste, sources and entrances to water, method of measurement and removal have been studied.
Some of domestic water quality parameters have been selected by Polling from experts and university professors (32 persons). Weighting factors determined for selected parameters using opinion of experts, AHP method and pair comparison method. Domestic Water Quality Index has been computed by consideration of selected parameters, weighting factors, previous studies and statistical and mathematical methods. Domestic Water Quality Index has been calculated by error analyzing method using 3 error function F1, F2 and F3.
Domestic water quality categorization has been done according to Delphi Method, assessment of different samples by experts (14 persons), classification of samples and, finally, comparing the results of Domestic WQI with BC WQI¡ DWQI and CCME WQI.
