Morphological evaluation and Classification of Khorasans Provinces (razavi, north and south) Melons Genotypes

A field expremient for evaluating melon genotypes of north east of Iran(north khorasan, khorasan razavi and south khorasan) was conducted in khorasn razavi agricultural and natural resource research center . 17 selected of melon genotype were planted in a randomized complete block design with 3 replication. Khatooni variety had the highest yield whitin other cultivars with 28.72 ton per hectars. The least yield blonged to bakharman sarakhs with 16.94 ton per hektar. Cluster analysis for all of traits, sugar , number of fruit and yield divided melon cultivars to 4 main groups , in all of clusters mashhad, chah paliz and jabbari were in same groups which shows that these cultivars are genetically closed. Factor analysis divided traits in 5 main groups as covered 75% of variation in cultivars and the first factor included fruit weight, number of plant, length and wide of fruit and fruit tissue weight covered 27 percent of variation.
