Rotting of Information Seeking Behavior Using Bibliometrics Method

To identify scientific and intellectual origins of information seeking behavior (ISB) field.
Citation and co-citation analysis- common methods in Bibliometrics- were used.
Early 1970s is the beginning of ISB research output. Intellectual structure of ISB has been shaped by two groups of resources: Main resources have formed theoretical framework of ISB and secondary resources have been considered for their methodology and also have proposed approaches in using information resources using main resources. So the secondary resources stand in second place of importance when regarding scientific and intellectual formation of the field.
The expansion and development of ISB is owed to library and information science and computer and information systems.
