The Analyses of God as the Light of Heavens and the Earth in Theological, Philosophical and Mystical Thoughts

There is an inspired verse of the Quran that explains the highest truths in the phrase: Allah is the lighter of the heavens and the earth. The example of his light is like a tube. The first part of this verse speaks of this fact that God is the lighter of the heavens and the Earth, and the second part of it introduces the sample of God’s lighter. Some scholars and interpreters introduce twelve viewpoints concerning understanding the meaning of this verse. By inquiring these viewpoints, we can get to four main points of views: 1. God is the lighter of Heavens and the earth, 2. God is the guider of them, 3. God is the being of beings, and 4. God is the appearance of the heaven and the earth. Each of these viewpoints are compatible with some theological, philosophical and mystical bases. We, in this paper, speak of these viewpoints regarding their theological, philosophical and mystical bases and by comparative study and criticizing them, will choose the best one.
