Environmental Perception Methods based on Landscape Spatial Quality

Environment and landscpae has different qulities created through perception and used in landscape design and planning. In addition¡ perception is mental structure caused recognition and aesthetic expriments. Therefore¡ recognizing different methods of environmental perception has and important role to evaluate landscape and its spataial quality. In the current study discriptive method has been applied. The results show that proper sensual stimulus improve visual perception. Landscape designer shoud decrease speed of movemnet in complex landscape to prepare appropriate condition for users to percepet landscape completely and clearly. Furthermore¡ direct path can be designied for fast move in monotonus landscapes. Finally¡ it should be noted that recognition is a process that is valued by viewer images and perception.
