Effect of salicylic acid and -aminooxi-phenyl propionic acid as promoter and inhibitor of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase enzyme activity on vase life and floral scent of tuberose

Regarding to a few studies on odorant compounds of cut flowers, a pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of pre-harvest foliar application of salicylic acid (0, 1.5 and 2.25 mM) and a-aminooxi-b-phenyl propionic acid (0, 1.5 and 3 mM) as promoter and specific inhibitor of phenylalanine ammonia-lyase enzyme, respectively, on tuberose “double” basis on completely randomized design with four replications.
