The effect of some grapevine training systems on yield and privalency some pests and diseases in Vitis vinifera Var. Sefid Bidaneh

The subject of this study was to evaluate of some grapevine training systems on yield quality in Vitis vinifera Var. Sefid Bidaneh in Grape Research Station of Takestan from 2015 to 2016. Experimental treatments were 8 grapevine training systems such as Guyot, Low cordon, High cordon, Geneva, Head training, Simple cordon, Traditional training system and Wye (Y) which were evaluated in 3 replications and 6 plants in each plot in randomized completely block design (RCBD). Recorded characters were yield (kg/plant), powdery mildew (%), Lobesia botrana damage (%), raisin waste (kg) and sparrows’ damage (%). Data were analyzed with Gen Stat Ver.12 statistical software and means were compared with Duncan's multiple range test for determining the best training system in Takestan region. The results showed that different systems of vine training had significant effect on yield, the amount of raisin waste, the mildew and sparrows’ damages. In the present study, Guyot system had the least amount of pests and diseases for grapevine Sefid Bidaneh in the Takestan area.
