Analysis of the Social Role of Shiite Women in the First Century of Occultation of Imam Mahdi (As)

First century of occultation has special features. In this article, part of the historical role of Shiite women and their activities and policies during the first century of the absence is studied. Different Islamic sources about the presence of women in this era and its result would be examined in the following paper. Accordingly, it becomes clear that the presence of women in social places has been base on Islamic traditions and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt (as). So all society uses their capabilities and capacities, especially in various fields such strengthening Shiite identity, developing social relations, publishing religious education, institutionalizing the waiting culture and effective participation in social and cultural transformation. Shiite women played an important role in the historical developments of this period. Therefor this paper discusses, analyzes and evaluates the issue with reference to Islamic sources.
