Defense Strategies of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Confronting with Takfiri Currents

Takfiri currents by defining the vast majority of Muslims, particularly the Shiites as "other" ones, and through the bipolarity of the Islamic world distort Islamic unity through religious conflicts. They can also disturb the stability, and balance of Islamic societies, and thereby challenge the security of Islamic countries. The crisis arose from the spread of ISIS with the cooperation of U.S and reactionary governments of the region with the goal of securing the Zionist regime and confronting with the Islamic Revolution.
The purpose of this research is to formulate and present the defense strategies of the Islamic Republic of Iran in response to the Takfiri current that is in the security environment of the Islamic Republic of Iran that threatens the security and national interests.
The purpose of this research is to provide strategies for confronting with Takfiri Salafi Currents by the Islamic Republic of Iran. For this purpose, we must study and recognize Takfiri currents and determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats facing the Islamic Republic of Iran. The statistical society and the appropriate sample were determined by applying SWOT matrix tool, so the coping strategies were presented. Based on the obtained results, the current situation in the country is in a mild offensive situation, so those strategies should be prioritized that would lead to the expansion of the scope of utilizing strengths and available opportunities to confront with Takfiri currents.
