manifests of Shiite doctrines in architectural Shrines of Qajar era in West Azerbaijan
Abstract:
Shaping the architecture of each period, the style and features are strongly affected by doctrines and religious orders as well as geography, climate, culture, etc. The impact of religious monuments is much evident in cemetery monuments of architecture which makes religion and architecture being strongly associated. This study based on Library studies and surveys, aims to identify the influence of Shiite doctrines and commandments on architecture and related arts in the Shiite shrines during Qajar era in West Azerbaijan, northwest Iran. Two primary goals are under focus: 1. Assessing the effect of Shia on the tomb monuments of architectural features and properties?
2. Is there an association among Shia doctrines vs monuments architecture and arts in West Azerbaijan?
Shia religion has mostly affected the quality and quantity of architecture and decoration of the tomb monuments of the region especially in the use of minarets and altar, graphic scrolls, prayer and ornaments
