Raja(Return) in the light of Ahl al-Bayt school with an emphasize on traditions from Imam Reza (a.s.)

Raj’a is one of the important doctrines of Twelver Shia the belief in which is necessary in Shia. The wrong comprehension of the meaning of Raj’a has caused, on one hand, misunderstandings concerning this doctrine and consequently accusations against Shia, so that, for example, in the Sunni Hadith books, a hadith loses its validity if there is even one Shiite in the chain of transmitters. And on the other hand, it has caused some irrelevant objections which don’t disprove this doctrine. Regardless of the extra-shiite criticisms of this doctrine, Shiite scholars themselves differ in its explanation, although they believe in it in a general sense. Though more of those who believe in Raj’a, describe it as an event in the Reappearance of twelfth Imam, i.e. the return of some dead people to this world, there are also some who describe it as the return of government to Ahl al-Bayt in the period of Reappearance of twelfth Imam and reject the return of the dead. The aim of this research is to explain completely and rightly the meaning of Raj’a in twelver Shia, and to enumerate the consequence of believing in it, and specially to refute the objections against it. The method of this research is that of Hadith-Kalam based on hidiths of Shiite Imams specially Imam Riza.
