The Image of the Woman in Nizar Qabbani and Hossein Monzavi's Poetries

Various poets and authors have studies the subject of woman in different eras. Woman's role is prominent in literature; hence she has played as a beloved in poet's poetries since long time ago as well as her different roles in Arabic and Persian literatures. Qabbani is famous for his poetries on "women" and is pioneer in this field in Arabic contemporary poetry. Monzavi – Iranian contemporary poet – who may be known as the poet of women as well because he also knows woman as the main subject in his poetries. It could be claimed that common issues in Qabbani and Monzavi are remarkable from form and concept view point. Thus this article intends to compare the image of the woman in these two poet's poetries in descriptive – analytical method.
