Study TCI index and SWOT model the of tourism development in Urmia Lake

Abstract:
Background And Objective
Tourism and the tourism economy, is becoming one of main pillars of commercial economy world. Lake due to natural landscape an important factor in attracting domestic and foreign tourists in the region. With fundamental and identify the advantages and limitations of appropriate and effective role in the development of these areas and therefore has the responsibility of national development.
Method
In this research, using the index (TCI) was conducted to evaluate the tourism climate. The index of parameters such as mean maximum daily temperature, minimum relative humidity, mean relative humidity, rainfall, sunshine and wind speed synoptic stations around the lake that boasts of 20 years (2010-1990), respectively. Calculate and then enter the results in GIS environment and using geographic information systems, zoning lake tourism climate in different months were taken. Then, using survey and determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats SWOT was carried out.
Results
According to TCI, results indicate that: Based on the values obtained from TCI monthly average monthly maps showing the Lake climate comfort favorable conditions in the region in terms of climatic comfort is ideal in July and August from higher up. In April, May, June, September and December of the climate, tourism is good to excellent and October, November, December, January and February in critical conditions, are acceptable and good. In the study area, 17 internal strengths and weakness against 15 to 17 of 19 opportunities and threats are identified.
Conclusion
Among the strengths of the study area, environmental factors such as a beautiful landscape and unique lake with gardens and surrounding mountains as the main advantage of these areas for tourism development in order to optimize the use of these natural tourism development focuses on be.
