A Critical Report Reviewing Opinion of William Rhodes Regarding «Symmetrical Evils»

the issue of “symmetrical evils” inductively claims there is no reason to believe that any Wise and Mighty God exists by the presence of widespread evils around us. “William Rhodes reasons that if there are evils which are not created to enable us to reach higher level or to fade similar or more evils, there would be proof on non-existence of God. In this article, first his ideas have been introduced and then the approaches of some western Motekallims (Theologians) reviewing his opinions have been mentioned. To provide the final answer by verses of Quran and traditions, we will refer to the world”, “ life of animals”. In this review, we benefit from methodology of Ahlul-Bayt against philosophical and Kalami doubts which is a unique and innovative approach and should be comprehended by the principles derived from Quran and traditions.
