The Possibility of mystic interpretation of the poetry of Hafiz

The form and content of the poetry of Hafiz is such that it is understood by every addressee, whether educated or layman based on their world views. This characteristic make different interpretations possible. These varied interpretations can be mystical, philosophical, social, and so on. It is the objective of this paper to describe the different mystical approaches Hafiz had in his poetry; the paper will also attempt to compare these approaches with his other personal dimensions. Attempts will also be made to determine whether or not it is possible to interpret his poetry from the viewpoint of mysticism.
