The survey of the role of mosques in promoting lifestyle of Iranian-Islamic

Since the beginning of Islam, mosques have played an important role in the various fields of life of Muslims especially in the life of Iranian people. Therefore, this study examines the role of mosques as an effective public institution in promoting Iranian-Islamic lifestyle.
The aim of this research is an applied one and in terms of nature and method, is the survey one. The statistical population of this study includes all the mosques in the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is estimated more than 70,000 mosques. Among the mosques, we concentrated on the dignitaries of the mosques (congregation, board of trustees, worshipers and imam of them), especially on the active ones such as Comprehensive mosques and mosques at markets and on social experts who are currently teaching and studying at universities in the country, especially in Tehran province. By the purposeful sampling method in this study we chose 100 people as the sample that was calculated using the formula calculation it is used for limited communities. 34 of the sample were elected among the social and cultural experts at the universities, 32 worshipers and 34 intermediaries and the trustees of the mosques.
Both library and field methods were used to collect data for this research. Data collection tool was a questionnaire with a Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.9.
To analyz the data of this research, descriptive statistics including mean, variance and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics including Kolmogorov-Smirnov test and single-group t test were used.
The results of this research indicate the direct effect of mosques on the promotion of Islamic lifestyle in Iran. Religious, social, cultural, political, economic, security and military aspects of mosques are also promoted by promoting lifestyle in all dimensions with a significant level of zero and deviation error. The average is less than 0.5 which suggests that mosques can significantly contribute to the promotion of the Islamic-Iranian lifestyle.
