Moderating role of ethical climate and organizational loyalty in impact manager's ethical behaviors on caring behaviors of nurses

Abstract:
Introduction
The core of the nursing care is caring behavior. So, recognizing and determining impact factors on nurses’ caring behavior in hospitals as a services organization is very important.
Aim: This study was done for assessing moderating role of ethical climate and organizational loyalty in impact managers’ ethical behaviors on careing behaviors of nurses in 2016.
Method
This study was descriptive, correlation based on causal model. The sample included all nurses of private hospitalities in Shiraz, and they were selected by simple random sampling; 245 females and 77 males. The instruments for data gathering were 4 questionnaires; ethical behavior questionar’s Beheshti Far (2010), caring behavior questionar’s Wolf, & etal., (1994), ethical environment questionar’s Victor & Coln (1998) and organizational loyalty questionar’s Elnomier (1990) that their validity and reliability were caculated. Inferential statistic (Pearson correlation coefficient, Path analysis and Confirmatory factor analysis) was used to analyze data using SPSS and LISERAL.
Results
Results showed that the ethical behavior components have indirect relationship with nurses’ caring behavior by moderating role of ethical climate and organizational loyalty. None of ethical behavior components’ managers as exogenous variables (responsibility, fairness behavior, trust, dedication) have direct effect on nurses’ caring behavior. But responsibility as an ethical behavior components’ managers has the most effect on nurses’ caring behavior.
Conclusion
Hospital managers would be applying ethical behavior components in nursing department. By this they impact on ethical climate of hospital and in resulted to increase nurses’ caring behaviors and organizational loyalty.
