Reviews the fundamentals of easy interpretive commentary

Aasan (plain) exegesis, a selection of valid exegeses, has been written by Ayatollah Mohammad Javad Najafi Khomeini. It is a plain and handy exegesis, interwoven by some ethical and doctrinal discussions which make it handy for the general laymen. The author has tried his best to provide with an exegesis that in addition to exerting some exegetical discussions, possess both a pedagogical and guidance- giving character, and be usable for laymen in every respect, as the author says, even if they have a very limited gain of literacy. As the title suggests, this exegesis is a selection of exegeses; a selection which expresses the difficulties of vocabulary and terminology and their syntax, and by which, the reader feels the atmosphere of the holy Quran; pays attention to the ethical messages and admonishments of this book, and makes it a book for his own guidance for his own life- style and the path toward salvation.
