The necessity of professor's assessment with emphasizing on Iran medical universities

Abstract:
Introduction
The promotion of teaching quality in the universities is an important issue that has been emphasized in recent years. Professors’ evaluation is one of the common methods to determine the professors teaching purposes achievement. Therefore this study presents the importance of medical universities’ professors in Iran.
Methods
Documents in the libraries and internet were reviewed. Related article with professor evaluation topic such as the student attitude toward professors teaching, personality characteristics, class management, professors’ communication skills related to students, were selected.
Result
This article indicated the importance of the professors’ evaluation in the education quality promotion. Professors are the main elements in an educational system. They are evaluated in different ways including by students. Although considering the evaluation by students is beneficial, other learning evaluation methods are recommended.
Conclusion
Appropriate design and program are suggested in order to the importance of the feedback in the professors practice improvement.
