Medical Ethics Programming for Education of Professionalism

Although the medical field is related to the Ethical issues and concepts, naturally, the practitioners and clinical staffs, do not train in the ethical issues, adequately. The lack of knowledge and professional training in this area could be lead to the both doubtful decision-making and ethical reviews, and inappropriate policies. This article considers the reform in the professionalism education planning.
This is a review article which is based on research on the main electronic and international databases, organizations and ministry of health organization. Resources such as the statement of professional institutions, clinical governance plan, medical ethics charter, and the contents related to the medical ethics were considered. The keywords were: medical ethics, professional ethics, clinical governance, ethics charter, patient’ safety, patients’ values.
The current medical and professional ethics curriculum does not lead to an effective education and practice. The lack of clarity and incompetency of education contents have been decreased the practical education. In the practice, this education does not lead to the ethical values in medical field.
The medical ethics issues and overlapping with the social issues, is not considered in the curriculum. The current medical ethics education is not effective, due to the conflicts. So constructing a group work with the different disciplines is suggested.
