Investigate the relationship between citizen participation, and the main factors of urban management Case Study: Tehran

The urban environment is complex, dynamic and diverse, which requires the design of a multi-faceted and participatory system in management, and good urban governance has provided this capability. A good urban governance model is defined as a collaborative process of development, whereby all stakeholders, including government, non-governmental organizations and civil society, provide means for solving urban problems. This research has been designed with the aim of measuring the participation rate of citizens in Tehran's urban management based on a good urban governance pattern. It has been studied the significance of the relationship between urban governance criteria as dependent variables with the independent variable of citizen participation in urban management. The type of research is applied and the method of analysis is based on inferential statistics. The results of the research showed that the mental dimension of the citizen's willingness to participate in urban management is high and there is a very good platform for participation in the city. According to the research results, there is a significant relationship between governance criteria and citizen participation in urban management. Citizenship participation has the most impact and relationship with citizenship awareness and then has a significant and significant effect on transparency and accountability and social trust.
