Assessment of microbial population changes in phytoremediation of the soil contaminated with crude oil

Phytoremediation is an effective and cost-effective technique to treat polluted soil. To better implementation of phytoremediation, it is necessary to know microbial population trend. This paper was evaluated microbial population changes in rhizosphere and controls soil.
The experimental soil was divided into 5 parts, and it polluted with five Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPHs) concentrations including 0.43, 0.86, 1.9, 4.13, and 8.27 % (w/w) of TPHs. microbial population changes and initial crude oil concentration were measured by HPC and Gas chromatography methods respectively.
