Investigating the Impact of Police Force in establishing security the villages of the border regions (Case study: Villages in the province of Mir javeh)

One of the most important issues in the border regions is the security of these areas. Given the conditions in the border villages, the best practices to ensure their security is the existence of a powerful and efficient law enforcement force. Therefore, the present study has investigated the performance of police forces in establishing border security villages. The present research is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-analytical method. Data gathering tool was a questionnaire and interviews with local people and law enforcement experts. The present study consists of two statistical societies. The first population consists of rural households, which were selected via Cochran formula and simple random sampling of 348 households. The second population consists of law enforcement experts selected by targeted sampling of 20 experts. For data analysis, multivariate regression, path analysis, one-sample t-test and Spearman correlation coefficient were used. The findings show that the index of providing law enforcement services has the most impact on the security of villages, and the highest performance of the law enforcement in this area was related to social security. In addition, the relationship between law enforcement performance and household security indicates a significant relationship between these two variables; as the law enforcement function in the security of households has increased security in many different dimensions. It can be said that the police directly and indirectly played a positive role in achieving economic, Social, political and cultural security affairs in the study area and it is necessary to increase the scope of the authority of this organization while ensuring the national security of the development of the border areas of the country.
