Abstract:
The evolution of a learning disability is a disorder that failure Hsab- knowledge about numbers and arithmetic in children with normal intelligence and good education affects. The aim of this study is a first step to compare the visual-spatial working memory, executive functions, able to plan and organize the students with developments and general disorder and the failure Hsab-. The population of this research is the first to fifth-grade male students in the academic year 96 95 formed in Mashhad. In the first two groups of 16 patients each were selected as sample quota. This method is a combination of clustering and availability. The first group included 16 students fall short of the 2383 student Hsab- 12 school districts 2 and 6 Mashhad selected as the two privileged areas (areas 3, 4 and 6) and non-wealthy (zones 2,1, 5 and 7) were selected in several steps. Then, based on mathematical disorder diagnostic check list IV DSM, Raven intelligence test for children and a clinical interview, were selected the final group. The second group included 16 normal children were selected from the same class. The calculation error through standardized tests loose accounts (the three components of number sense, computation of numbers and digits) and executive functions with visual-spatial working memory tests beating block course, the Tower of London were assessed. The results were analyzed using descriptive and inferential tests multivariate analysis of covariance, multivariate analysis of variance were used. The results showed that working memory, visual-spatial abilities of children with developmental failure to Account was significantly lower than normal children. Planning and organizing actions on significant differences were found. The relationship between some elements of action Planning and organization with the percentage of errors was significant. The three components of arithmetic test to determine the number and production number in the two groups were significantly different. The overall purpose of the new concept of executive functions Hsab- failure rate changes are not effective mathematics disorder. The visual-spatial working memory, executive function as an effective factor in this is the disorder and improve the overall effectiveness of this action is to fix the errors.
