The Effect of Membership in Social Networks on Social Capital Users (Emphasizing Social Security - Case Study: Varamin City)

Given the fact that social capital results from a network of human interaction and communication, and virtual social networks also provide the possibility of human interaction and communication in the virtual space, the formation of these networks can create wide-ranging threats and injuries in various security settings. Therefore, the study of the role of virtual networks on social capital of users (with emphasis on social security) is the purpose of this research. The present study is a descriptive survey. The statistical population of the survey is a group of Internet users who are members of the social network of telegram located in the town of Varamin. The sampling was done using random and systematic methods with a sample size of 384 people questionnaires were used to collect information. The research findings show that among the components of membership in the social network of telegram, the relationship with others with a regression coefficient of -0/143 was significantly more than the other components had a negative effect on the amount of social capital among users. Meanwhile, among the components of membership in the social network of telegrams, the use of social networking telegram facilities with a regression coefficient of -0.104 was significantly less than other components, had a negative effect on the amount of social capital among users. The results show that membership in the social network of telegrams has a Significant negative impact on social capital among users. In other words, membership in the social network of the Telegram will reduce the amount of social capital among users of this network.
