The Basis and Decision-making Strategies in Imam Khomeini's Foreign Policy Theory

Abstract:
The study of how foreign policy behaves and how makes decisions and select alternatives from viewpoint of leaders, policy-makers and planners has been always one of the important part of foreign policy studies. This research has conducted to examin the decision-making strategies adopted in Imam Khomeini’s foreign policy action in its scopes and declarations and is seeking to answer this question that in the viewpoint of Imam Khomeini, in which basis forms his dicisions in field of foreign policy?
The consequences shows that Imam khomeini’s strategies on foreign policy, such as task-orientaionism, world-islamism, anti-hegemonism, global non-alignmentism, has rooted in transcendental and divine nature of his political thought; so, all strategies in realm of Imam Khomeini’s foreign policy model has influenced by his internal values and philosophical bases and what has shaped his foreign policy decision-making orientaions, has been justified and interpretable in responsibility principle and devine-human obligations.
