Political Culture and Socialization in Information Era
Political socialization is a particular type of political learning whereby people develop the attitudes, values, beliefes, opinions and behaviors that are conducive to becoming good citizens in their country. Political socialization is the process by which people form their ideas about politics. Therefore, people acquire political culture through a process known as political socialization. Political learning begins in childhood and continues over a person’s lifetime. As well as the domestic developments of Information Technology (IT) can create fundamental changes in the process of political culture and socialization. In this article, the role of information technology in the political socialization and political culture will be examined subsequently in Islamic Republic of Iran. The method used in this article is analytical descriptive and the procedure of data collection will be from library.The aim of this study is going to be to evaluate the impact of technological developments on the political culture and socialization.
