Abstract:
Hadhrami sayyed are amongst the famous Sayyed groups in Islam history which are attributed to the Hadhramaut district in Yemen, Arabian Peninsula. These Sayyed are consisted of major and famous families such as Ba’ Alawi, Bafqih, Belfaqih, Saqaf, Bataha. They who most of them were amongst the clergymen, merchants and Sufis had lived in one of the important cities of Hadhramaut called Tarim. Since the end sixth century AH some of these Sayyed immigrated to various regions of Indian subcontinent and South East Asia.
