The effect of group counseling on AIDS knowledge and attitudes among adolescent girls living in welfare boarding centers

AIDS is the most serious health problems and Deadliest disease is Infectious contagious century. Lack of sufficient awareness of the disease, adolescents easily puts at risk for the disease. Increased AIDS knowledge and attitude is the best way to prevent disease. The goal of this study was the effect of group counseling on AIDS knowledge and attitude of adolescent girls.
This study a Semi- experimental interventional study (single band) did in 2016 on adolescent girls living on welfare boarding centers of in Hamadan. All eligible persons (n =30) were Entered study. The data collection tool was questionnaire of Three parts including demographic, knowledge and attitude that three times (before, immediately after and one month after treatment) were used. Validity of questionnaires through the content and Ostensible, and Their reliability was confirmed by Chronbach alpha. Data using descriptive and inferential statistical methods using SPSS-20 software was analyzed.
The results showed that 40% of People before the intervention had a poor knowledge and 36.6% of People had a poor attitude and alsoknowledge and attitude in immediately and a month after the intervention at over time compared to before the intervention significantly increased (P The results showed that educational intervention through group counseling on AIDS knowledge and attitude of adolescent girls Hostelry centers effectively.
