Survey of Electronic Resources in Academic Libraries of Ardebil Province

The aim of this study is to determine how to provide acquisition work, and how to provide access to electronic resources in academic libraries in the province of Ardebil.
Survey research method was used and the data was collected by a researcher­-­made questionnaire. Ninety-eight managers and collection development officers of fifty-four central and faculty library were participated in this research.
Findings: The results of this study showed that, of fifty-four university libraries surveyed, eight libraries (14.8 percent) did not include any kind of electronic resources in their collections. About the provision of electronic resources, the most important provision of electronic journals is, "sharing" (by mean of 4.44), the most important provision of the e-books is, "Buying" (by mean of 4.44), the most important provision of databases is, "Sharing" (by mean of 3/76), and most importantly producing electronic theses are, "produced in electronic form" (by mean of 4/50), respectively. Other results indicated that the "internal network university" with an average availability of 2/57 was the most important method of electronic resources in academic libraries in the province of Ardebil.
The study investigated the electronic resources in the academic libraries in the province of Ardabil, information about electronic resources available as to provide access to these resources in the library to be achieved to other institutions and organizations in the development of their electronic documents easier to operate.
