The study of the relationship between religious viewpoint and organizational commitmentamongthe personnel of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman.

The aim of this research was to study the relationship between managers’ religious viewpoint and organizational commi-tmentamongthe personnel of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman in the educational year 2013-2014. The survey method was used in this research and the statistical populationof the research consisted of 100managers of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman. Because of few numbers of managers, this research used census method. Standardized questionnaires of religious viewpoint (Serajzade, 1998) and organizational commitment (Allen and Meyer, 1984) wereused to collect data. The research data wereanalyzed by descriptive statistics, PearsonCorrelation Coefficient and regression test. The results showed that the average of organizational commitment, in total, in one scale within 25-125 range, was84.5, which washigher than the expected average (75) and the average of religious viewpoint in one scale within 18-90 range, was69, which was alsohigher than the expected average (54). The results of PearsonCorrelation test showed that concerningreligiosity aspects, there is a meaningful relationship only between religiosity and emotionalaspects, in total, and organizational commitmentvariable, in total, but there was nosignificant relationship between other aspects of religious viewpoint and the dependent variable in total.
