A Study of the Augmentation of Effectiveness of Teaching Philosophy for Children and Youth on the Happiness of First Grade Middle Girl Students in Tehran

The objective of the present work is to study the impact of implementing program of thinking skills upon augmentation of happiness of first grade middle girl students in Tehran. This research work includes sixty first grade middle girl students in Tehran and are divided casually into experimental and control groups. The instrument for collecting data is Oxford test of happiness. Meanwhile, pre-test and post-test with control group are used for studying the hypothesis of research work. For the analysis of data the comparison of marks before and after tests have been made, employing the test T Student for independent groups.
A workshop consists of twenty sessions, one session (45 minutes) in a week was held, using the method of Sharp-Lipman’s community of inquiry with reference to Philip Kamp and Robert Fisher’s intellectual stories. The conclusion of the research indicates that the implementation of teaching philosophy for children with community of inquiry is effective in the development of happiness of children and has positive impact in its wake.
