Designing a Decision Support System for Supply Chain Management by Using the Fuzzy Vikror Approach (Case Study: The Six Stars of Iran Company)

Supply Chain Management (SCM) is one of the important organizational issues and a proper assessment of suppliers is one of the factors of supply chain success. The supplier selection system is a multi-criteria decision-making problem. In such a situation, it is difficult for experts and decision makers to balance between the various criteria in order to achieve the ultimate goal. The purpose of this paper is to design a decision support system for supply chain management by using the fuzzy Vikor approach. The company Six Stars of Iran located in Isfahan province has been selected with seven suppliers as a case study. According to the research experts, nine criteria were selected as an effective measure in designing decision support systems. The Euclidean norm method was used to weigh the selected criteria, and the Euclidean norm output was used as input to the fuzzy Vikor method. The final results obtained from the Euclidean norm method show that the most important criteria including the supplier's pricing in the market with the weight of (0.254), ranks first, quality and safety of the product with the weight of (0.179), ranks second, customer satisfaction with the weight of (0.174), ranks third, and the customer perception level with the weight of (0.027) ranks last. The final results from the fuzzy Vikor ranking showed that Mapna company ranks first, Asia Stone Plateau Company ranks second, and the NazariViana Company of pistachio ranks third. In addition, other companies like DirGodazAzar, Haddad Chemistry, KimiaBosparGolpa and Hamedan inorganic chemistry rank last.
