The Relationship between Sufism and Shiism and its Influences on the Development of Shiite of Imams in Iran in the 9th and 10th Centuries of Hijri

The purpose of this study is to investigate the interaction between Sufism and Shiism and its effects on the expansion of Shiite of Imams of the 9th and 10th centuries in Iran, with emphasis on the status of Shiism and Sufism and the relationship between these two professions. In this research, while analyzing the viewpoints of Sufism and the historical origins of the creation of this method and the ritual that the Sufis perform, the differences and traditions of Sufism and Shiism are compared. Also, by commenting on the views, comments and critiques of Shia scholars on the science of Sufism, it’s mentioning the reasons that led to the decline of Sufism in Iran, and the relationship between these two schools of thought and ideology and their impact on each other has been evaluated. The results of the research indicate that the kings of the Safavid dynasty used Sufism first to establish Shia rule in Iran, but with the efforts of the Shia jurisprudents, Sufism became melting in Shiism and was subjected to this school, and Shah Ismail Safavi after his two-hundred-year-old predecessors Finally, the whole of Iran managed to bring the land under the banner of the Shiite central government.
