Comparison of perceived social support and self-compassion among patients with multiple sclerosis and normal people

Multiple sclerosis affects the physical and psychological state of many patients. The purpose of this study was to compare perceived social support and self-compassion among patients with multiple sclerosis and normal people.
The present study was a causal-comparative study. In this study, 200 individuals with multiple sclerosis and 200 healthy individuals were selected by sampling method as a sample of this study in the years 1396-97. The research tools included perceived social support scale and self-compassion scale. Data were analyzed by multivariate analysis of variance.
The results showed that there is a significant difference between the group of patients with multiple sclerosis and healthy people in terms of perceived social support and self-compassion.
People with multiple sclerosis uses perceived social support and self-compassion for more adaptation to disease.
