The Assessment and explanation of place attachment's dimensions to BabaAfzal Street of Kashan

Abstract: Place attachment implies positive bonds between people and places that influenced by individual, physical and social factors and affect spiritual needs of people and the quality of the urban environment. The purpose of this paper is to examine the place attachment of resident and non-resident people to BabaAfazl Street of Kashan and the influence of individual variables, length of stay and buy daily necessities from the street on the attachment to it. The research method is descriptive-analytical. after reviewing library resources and study the theoretical framework of subject, required data collected by questionnaire survey, and then extracted data analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics methods(Pearson, t and ANOVA test) using SPSS software. The results show that among individual variables, education, income and marriage status are effective on the place attachment and the relationship between being resident or non-resident in mentioned street and length of stay in it with attachment is statistically significant. The relation between buy daily necessities from the street and place attachment not confirmed. Due to the low value of the participation compare to other aspects of place attachment assessment, reinforce it through participation and inclusion of stakeholders in the organization of understudy area can be effective in increasing the place attachment there.
