Relationship between Aggression and Birth Order in Police Forces

Abstract:
Aims: The police force, as an important part of the country's security system, has a major responsibility to provide domestic security. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between birth order and aggression among police officers.
Materials and Methods
This descriptive-correlation study was carried out in all employees of Ardebil police force in 2016-17. Using random cluster sampling, 120 people were selected as samples. The buss and peri aggression questionnaire was used to collect data. Reliability of the questionnaire was 0.84 by Cronbach's alpha method. Data analysis was done by one-way ANOVA in SPSS 20 software.
Findings: There was not a significant relationship between the number of births in the police force and the amount of verbal aggression, physical aggression and the subscales of anger and hostility (p>0.05).
Conclusion
The birth order in police forces is not related to the degree of aggression and features such as anger and hostility.
