A Comparative Analysis of the Hero in the Novel of Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez and From Drowning by Moniru Ravanipor

"Hero characters" are the key elements of any Fiction type that create story actions with their behavior, speech and thought. In "magical realism", the hero character perfectly reflects on the unique features of this kind of story. Thus In the novel of "one hundred years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez as the masterpiece of this genre and the novel of "Drowned" or "ahl-e-ghagh" by Maniro Ravanipour as one of the most prominent magical realism novels in Iran, the heroes indicate the most important component of this style scilicet the merging of historical and social reality with indigenous and ethnic legends, beliefs and customs. In addition, other features are found in the presence of these characters.
