Abstract:
In the new millennium, especially after the September 11, 2001, after the following the uprisings and Islamic awakening, The world witnesses an increasing expansion of Salafist-Takfiri currents and the power of religious extremists in the Middle East. Salafist-Takfiri currents Located in the first round of political geography of Iran and In addition to its regional and international threats, it has been particularly affected the Islamic Republic of Iran. Therefore, the present research seeks to answer the question: "What are the opportunities and challenges of Takfiri Salafism for the regional position of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Middle East?" The hypothesis is that Salafism, despite its important challenges for the Islamic Republic of Iran, In the military-security, political, social, economic and environmental dimensions, there are also significant opportunities in the military-security, political, social and economic spheres. The method of collecting information from this library and documentary, as well as research findings in a descriptive-analytical manner, has been studied.
