Allamah Sayyed Tajuddin Avi as the Head of Iraqi Naqibs (Chiefs) in 8th century

Allamah Sayyed Tajuddin Abulfazl Mohammad Avi grew up in Kufa and studied in Hawza (Islamic seminary school) there. Fame of his intellectual and cultural efforts reached to the Court of Oljeitu and he was instated as Head of Naqibs (Chiefs) for Iran and Iraq Holy Places. Sayyed Avi succeeded not only to persuade the King Mohammad Khodabandeh to the path of Ahlulbayt peace be upon them, but also to formalize the Shia faith in the Mogul organization for long years. Prejudiced and extremist historians and biographers have tried to pose unreal accusations and false claims against this Honorable Sayyed in their works; But other numberless evidences and documents which fair historians have inserted in their writings are proving the contrary. Eventually Sayyed Abulfazl Mohammad Tajuddin Avi was tragically martyred along with his two children on the shores of the Tigris near Baghdad by the conspiracy of Mogul executors who had other belief, Khajeh Rashiduddin and also Hanbalis judge’s decree were at the head of the plot. His shrine is in Hafiyra, surrounding area of Kut, Iraq.
