The sources of dialectal literature in post-Islamic period of Iran

Rich Iranian literature has thousands of years of history which various sections of that require investigating separately. One of the most important of these sections is dialectal literature in post-Islamic period of Iran. In this paper we will show that how many books and how much dialectal data are episodically available among the old documents. Due to the dispersion of these data it is necessary to be collected systematic. It’s first step to plan the codification of dialectal literature of Iran. In this paper by collecting these data systematically we try to prepare a general plan of the resources which contains ancient lingual and dialectal data. With the purpose, we have divided the resources of this area into two categories: 1. the resources that contain dialectal data. These resources are divided into two categories again: a. the surviving works of Muslim minorities, including Gurani language (the sect of Ahl-i-haq (Yaressan)) and Astar-abadi dialect (the sect of Hurufiya). b. Dialectal poetry, poems and literary pieces. 2. The resources which contain dialectal words and Are therefore among the "varieties" of Persian language. These texts are divided into two categories orthographically: 1. Non-Arabic works, includes Hebrew-Persian, Syrian-Persian and Manichean-Persian texts. 2. Arabic works.
