Author(s):
Abstract:
The actions of the Arab countries in recent years have been always to the political isolation of Iran in the region. Arab NATO, a military, security and anti Iran project to prevent the spread of Iran's legitimate influence in the region and the continuation of previous anti-Iranian plans such as the 2 6 Treaty, Reagan doctrine, and the Desert Shield and Rapid Reaction Force (RDF) That the United States is pursuing in the region. The fears of Arab reactionary countries from the result of the Islamic Awakening since 2011, the occurrence of some political conflicts, the occurrence of proxy wars in the region and the victories of the axis of resistance have led Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, to have more incentive to implement this plan that is an American idea. From the point of view of the United States and the Zionist regime, Iran is, more than everything, a geopolitical threat that should reply to it by "geopolitical response". Under this plan, the main task of confronting Iran is given to local actors and US regional allies. The Arab NATO, if it is formed, will have two axes in the field of operations: cooperation with Western NATO, on the one hand, and intervention in the internal affairs of members to suppress protest behaviors on the other. In this paper, has been tried by descriptive and analytical method to study the obstacles and challenges of this project.
