Abstract:
The aim of this study was to investigate cognitive therapy based on mind-awareness on attitude toward student's life. The statistical population of the study was the total number of secondary school students in Shosh in the academic year of 1995-94; 30 ;;;;;;ts They were selected by purposeful sampling and randomly assigned to two experimental groups (15 subjects) and control (n = 15). In order to collect information, a revised questionnaire was used for 28 indicators of attitudes towards life that were developed by Batista and Almond (1998). Mental awareness training sessions were conducted for 10 sessions in the experimental group and the control group did not have any training In this study, a pre-test-post-test design with a 60-day follow up control group was used. The results of covariance analysis showed that mindfulness education to students caused a change in their attitude toward life (p> 0.05).
