The Stylistics of Sunni Scholar's Confrontation in Opposition with the Diversions of Mahdism

One of the arguable discussions in the thought of Mahdism is studying the role of Sunni scholars in dealing with the present deviations in the Mahdism doctrine. Despite the comprehensive approach to the issue of Mahdism deviations, there has not been much exploration of the role of Sunni scholars and the stylistics of their confrontation with Mahdism deviations.
This essay has been done with a descriptive-analytic approach based on the importance of the subject and with the mission of introducing the styles in the manner of Sunni scholars in removing the deviations from the Mahdism doctrine. In this research, while investigating the process of Sunni approach to the Mahdism teaching, we point to their two main methods in the issue of Mahdism:The first method is organized on the hadith approach in the form of explaining the teachings of Mahdism, the character of Imam Mahdi and the signs of his appearance. Introducing the nature of false claimants, holding debates, prohibiting the engagement with the false claimants and decisive approach toward them is the second method of Sunni scholars in confrontation with the Mahdism deviations.
