Human Perfection in Ibn Arabi and Mulla Sadra's Thought

For Ibn Arabi achieving perfection depends on self-refinement and journeying the various stages of spiritual experience based on real knowledge, in a way that in opening journeying the wayfarer has not any knowledge to himself and consequently to God; eventually by achieving self-knowledge he discovers he is nothing but God.
Mulla Sadra knows the factors of achieving perfection as to be the intensity of existence and strength of perceptions. Soul traverses existentially the degrees of vegetable, animal and finally human soul and finds entity based on the three types of natural, spiritual and rational existence. He considers the rational man as having the theoretical and practical intellect and for each of these degrees other ones, too. Thus, for him the ultimate perfection of the human being is to transform the soul to an intellectual world in the shadow of unifying with the active intellect.
The hypothesis of this article is that despite gross similarities the approaches to these two worlds have some differences. The most important differences are briefly explaining, processing and organizing data, the expression, the attention to the practical and applied aspects of subject and argumentation.
