Orientation toward social control

This study was done by online survey methodology and send of questionnaire randomly. female students of Ferdowsi Univerity forms the statistical population which is included 331 students among 12 different departments. Conceptual frame were determined by orientation typology toward social controls Gareth and Mills and four kinds of orientation to clothing rules were detected by comparative analysis approach. Different kind of orientations were introduced in the first step by applying of Gareth and Mills typology and in the second step by localization and developing under the title of operational typology.
The current research has three main achievements. First of all, the typology of Gareth and Mills determined only 15% of orientation toward clothing rules among samples; otherwise, the operational typology by localization approach increased the determination ability of the mentioned orientations up to the 79%. This typology has four groups which the first kind under the title of subscribe and abiding by 41%, the second type under the title of spurious conformist by 26.7% , the third type under the title of incongruity between words and deeds by 6.3% and the fourth type under the title of renounce and break by5.13% were observed. Second, spite of four introduced orientations, during studying of data and determining similarities and differences, another orientation in the name of “new orientation” was detected that contains 12.38% of samples, therefore, only 8.45% of data remind unknown. Third, the results of variance analysis indicate the significant differences between types of orientations related to awareness of clothing rules.
