The spread of urbanization and the prevalence of social insecurities in the cities on the one hand, and the importance and sensitivity of the security in the border towns on the other hand, led the researchers to conduct the present study, which aimed to analyze the effects of the components such as; the socio-economic level, social capital, and the quality of life, on the feeling of social security in urban areas of Saravan city.This is an applied research,in which the descriptive- correlational techniques were used, and the data collection procedure was conducted using a survey. The statistical population of the study was 19423 families in urban areas of Saravan, among which a number of 209 of families were selected through proportional sampling method.The face validity of the questionnaire was confirmed using experts’ opinions. The construct validity and the reliability of the research tool were also obtained by measuring the model and making the required adjustments. The research hypotheses were tested using Pearson correlation coefficient and structural equation modeling, in SPSSwin22 and AMOS21 software.Finally, the findings of the study indicated that social capital and quality of life had the greatest effects on the formation of social security feeling in the studied areas, respectively. The results also showed that the socioeconomic variable has no direct and significant effect on the feeling of social security in the urban areas of Saravan.
