Studying the Roots of Administrative Corruption in Government Organizations of Iran

Corruption has been one of the most important challenges facing the country since many years ago, and today it has become one of the national crises which, if continued, will lead to the loss of confidence among the people. The present research aims to answer the question "What are the roots of corruption in Iranian government agencies?". This research sought to identify the root causes of corruption by adopting a comprehensive approach combining "tacit knowledge" through an expert view of the subject of "explicit knowledge" through a qualitative text analysis method on 100 valid international papers and a quantitative regression method. The results of research findings suggest that increasing current costs, increasing oil revenues, establishing democracy and improving the quality of bureaucracy will reduce corruption. Also, the effect of rule of law and human development on corruption was not significant. At the end, based on the findings of the research, suggestions were made for future research.
